At Chilworth Partnership, we believe in meaningful engagement with our community, and one of the ways we do this is through our longstanding partnership with Naomi House & Jacksplace.
Naomi House & Jacksplace is a local charity committed to supporting life-limited and life-threatened children, young adults and families across the south of England.
This year’s Clarendon Way Walk, one of the charity’s flagship fundraising events, brought together hundreds of participants to journey along the historic trail from Winchester to Salisbury, all united by a shared cause: to fund and support Naomi House & Jacksplace.
A Landmark Event with Lasting Impact
The Clarendon Way Walk is an annual event that invites individuals, families, and local businesses to walk either 5, 12, or 26 miles along the scenic route from Winchester Cathedral to Salisbury Cathedral. Although a touch challenge, it is a celebration of community and a collective purpose to support the charity.
All funds raised directly support Naomi House & Jacksplace’s hospice services, which care for children and young adults facing life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. The walk also provides an opportunity to reflect on the strength of the families the charity supports — and the compassion of the community that rallies behind them.

About Naomi House & Jacksplace
Established in 1997, Naomi House was designed to meet the complex clinical and emotional needs of children requiring palliative care. In 2010, Jacksplace was opened to provide similar services tailored to young adults aged 16 to 35. Together, these two hospices support more than 500 families across Southern England.
Services include:
24-hour specialist nursing care
Emergency and planned respite
End-of-life care
Family and bereavement support
Hydrotherapy, music and play therapy
Social opportunities and life-skills sessions for young adults
Care is provided entirely free of charge to families and is supported mostly by donations from volunteers and fundraisers.

Our Partnership
The Chilworth and Venture team took part in the 26-mile walk this year, raising £497 and also hosted the pit stop at Pitton, encouraging walkers and spurring them on for the final 5 miles. It is one of our favourite times of the year because not only are you supporting the charity, but you are surrounded by other volunteers who are just as committed to supporting Naomi House as we are.
Participating in events like the Clarendon Way Walk is an opportunity to give back and to connect with two of the four values that drive our work: true partnerships and collaboration.
We encourage other organisations to engage with Naomi House & Jacksplace, either through future events or direct support, and to experience firsthand the value of contributing to a cause that offers real and lasting impact.
